I cannot stress enough how much a pack is important to a wolf. They are the family and protectors. If someone has a bone to pick with one wolf then that someone has a bone to pick with a whole pack. One pack picking on someone else's Omegas? Then you may just have a larger pack on your tail.
The following ranks are listed in order of importance. From the most important to the least important.
Main Pack Leader The sole creator of the pack. They will also be the alph male/female of the pack. The head-honcho, president, king, queen, the big cheese... really, the word of the pack leader is the word to be followed. Period.
Alpha Male/Female The leaders of the pack, they will co-run the whole pack. They have the final say over everything the pack does as a whole. Every position of the pack will be decided by one of both the Alpha's. The position can be challenged and fought for. Alphas, if there has been a change in rank or a new member in the pack, inform me so I can make the change.
Beta Male/Female The Alpha's right hand person. Think of vice president, without the democracy. This position cannot be fought for though tooth and claw, but if you feel a Beta is not doing their job or you feel you can do better, inform your alpha's. Betas are not always selected fairly, they are usually the closest friend and advisors of the Alphas.
Delta Deltas are the more physically apt of the pack, aside from the Alphas. They decide and command all things that have to do with hunting and gaurd the pack and pack lands. Of course, all wolves are invited to join in the hunt. Up to five members of the pack can be of this status.
Subordinate Subordinates are the middle of the pack. There is no set number of Subordinates. Subordinate is not the bad place, Subordinates are simply the main body of the pack. When one enters a pack, they are automatically placed in the Subordinate rank. Alphas with decided your rank from there.
Pup A pup is a pup. When they reach the time to be set to a rank, the alphas will decide, unless the parents are Subordinates or Omegas, then they will be placed in their parents corresponding class.
Omega The lowest ranking in the pack. You do not want to be here. You serve the pack like a servant. Good news though, from here the only way you can go is up. Better to have a pack then be a Lone Wolf anyway, right?
Lone Wolf Everybody starts out as this. Lone Wolves may take pride in being nomads but some packs spit on Lone Wolves... Even an Omega can get their fun at picking on Lone Wolves sometimes, unless your bigger than them... go ahead and kick their ass if you want....
