Samhain (pro sav-ain or sow-een) was a pack living it's glory days. They lived in the areas known as Deadwood Forest and Obsidian Caverns today; but, then they were not called as such. The Earthmother blessed them it seemed with prosperity and strength. Their pack-ties were stronger than blood. Their days were spent strenghtening their bonds and their night were spent with full bellies and the Elder's stories. This was how is has been for hundreds of generations of the Samhain pack. Good things never last forever.
The ground-shakings were getting stronger and more frequent. The pups were frightened, the Elders knew gloom was looming overhead. The others were too busy dealing with a loopy runt they called Fell.
It all came to an end so unexepectedly. A sudden burst of hot ash towered high into the sky. The Samhain pack flew into a frenzy. The Elder's knew where to hide, the remaining pack members rounded all the running-able pups he could and other's in their mouth and went to safety. Leaving that funny little black runt in the path of the liquid fire...
The home they knew perrished the day the vulcano erupted. The pack known as Samhain dropped the name and moved on. The once lush eden they relished was now a glazed canyon and carbon-crusted hell. Fell, left alone to die in the ash at six months of age still lives on. She is sure that the pack living amongst the Red Oaks not too far away is her old family that abandoned her. She wants revenge on the the pack that lives in the Red Oaks. She wants to fill their hearts with fire.
