Never walk away angry. The sky was the color of blood as the sun set, sinking beneath the far-off horizon. Slowly the land was growing darker, but then the process seemed to stop - or maybe it was just taking longer. The half-dark of twilight mixed with blood red skies cast an erie glow over the earth and the trees of the land that grew closer with each step of the paws. The creatures of the day - such as birds and squirrels - had retreated to their homes for the night. But the creatures of the night were quickly taking their place. Bats streamed from caves, taking over the night sky along with the owls. A few creatures on the ground dared to venture out from their dens and safe-havens, though they tried to avoid open spaces. Those who made the mistake of stepping out into the open were quickly snatched up by a predator.
It was in a world of half-light the color of blood that the she-wolf was truly at home. She loved the coming of the darkness, and the darkness itself just as much. It was at this time that she was the most comfortable and the most at home. The territory that she was headed for was close; she could feel it in her paws, and the scent of a pack was quickly reaching her nostrils. Had she been her old, power-hungry self she would have rushed into the territory and taken the pack and its lands by force. But that was no longer her style - she was not after lands or a pack to lead. Power, on the other hand, was something that she would always want, just not the ultimate kind. The rest was long behind her. The darkness almost hid her from view; she was a dark shade of gray. Her paws beat softly upon the ground, taking her close to the border of the territory. The scent of the alpha, a female, flooded her nostrils, and she eagerly stepped closer until she was a mere foot from the border.
Anger, hatred, and animosity all mixed into one being - a rare thing to behold indeed. That was what she was. Her medium length fur bristled as she turned and walked along the border, knowing that the wind was already washing her scent down into the pack's lands. They would know of her presence very soon. She carried herself proudly; her head was held as high as it could be and her tail was raised high, flying like a banner behind her. Pricked ears caught the sounds of the night, but not a sound of a wolf reached them. She stopped when she could see a small pond just inside the border. It was red, reflecting the final rays of the sun as it slowly sank below the horizon. She slipped across the border, finally trespassing onto the lands of the alpha, knowing that this would only bring their attention to her sooner.
She reached the small pond without any interruption and she stopped on it's banks, looking out across the lands that stretched out in front of her. She was certain that someone would show up sooner or later, since she was now trespassing, but until then she would do things her way, disobeying as many rules as she could. As she thought this she lowered her head slowly and took a short drink of the cool waters that should have been off limits to her. When she raised her head and saw that no one had yet approached her she set off toward a small copse of trees where the scent of rabbit was drifting from. It was a fresh sent, meaning the stupid creature hadn't gone to bed for the night yet. A foolish mistake. She slipped into the small copse of trees, immediately catching site of the one rabbit that had not gone underground. She lunged forward, swiftly killing the smaller creature and carrying it from the trees so that she was once more out in the open. Laying on the ground between the copse of trees and the pond, she devoured the rabbit, leaving nothing but a few bits of fur and blood and the bones. Most alphas did not take it well when a stranger hunted on their lands. However this alpha would react, she was certain that she would have fun. She began to crack open the bones, licking the marrow from them slowly as she waited for someone to appear. Preferably the alpha. Stay and fight.

Fell was in entirely a world of her own. She was in a remarkably good mood. A rarity among her traits. It stemmed from a rather good night of sleep. Now, a night of sleep too, was a rare thing. Fell was usually plagued with dreams that fueled her obsessions. These dreams and obsessions were never productive ones. Yet, last night she did not dream of liquid fire and hot balls of black glass falling from the sky in clouds of ash. She didn't dream at all. And that was a good dream. Awaking refreshed she went along her day being quite easily amused and light-hearted. She spent the most time staring at a brighly colored wild violet that sprung up in the middle of Deadwoods. Flowers so brightly colored have not bloomed in the desecrated area in several years it seems. Fell spent most of her time daydreaming about her pup-hood while staring ar purple flower.
She didn't realize until it was too late that she released the spoors of a nearby psychodelic mushroom. When Fell noticed she was already seeing blotches of the purple from the flower consuming the forsaken trees around her. Fell rose to all fours as the trees seemed to stretch down to her level. The shaggy reddish black wolf thought this was wildly funny and fell over laughing, if ever a wolf could, and stuggled to regain her balance without success. Finally a heave of effort and a snort she found her feet again. She had to get to water and try to flush this out of her system.
She knew the woods like the back of her paw and she found the rapid relativly easy dispite her current handicap. Relieved she padded over, crouched and went to take a drink. As she tried to lap the cool water she noticed her tongue grew extreamly long. Slightly irritated, she tries to drink once more. Again, another vision of her extreamly long, and growing, tongue.
Whoosh. SPLASH. Somthing large and green flashed behind Fell's peripheral vision which caused her to overreact and flinch so bad that she fell into the creek. Orange eyes wide she sputtered and quickly tried to regain her balance as her head swam in wrong directions her body was going. Creature in the water. The paranoia set in. Now she was in a mad panic as adrenaline flashed-corsed through her veins as her heart pounds in her chest.
"It's going to get me!" She yelped as nails scraped the surface of slipper rocks until she finnaly got hold of the bank to climb up on.
Wet. Hackles on high. Head down and panting hard. Legs bent. Her unfocused eyes searched the white water for any sign of movement from the creature that wanted to torment and eat her soul. Wait a minute... Fell burst into side-splitting laughter as her brain stuggled to get a grip on itself. Smiling, the laughter died down when she noticed that the sun had nearly set. She was amazed on how time was so relative. Her eyes started to gain focus from her ordeal and she started toward her den.
She was nearly halfway there when she caught a scent on the wind. The scent was strong. Canis lupus, female. The scent had to be on this side of the boarder she decided, due to the mingling strengths of varying orders. Her nose to the wind then on the trail, she had to investigate. This is what she discovered:
From a vantage point between the spaces of two fallen trees she spied a large she-wolf sucking sweet marrow from prey she had caught. Fell, still slightly hampered by the effects of the mind-altering fungi, did not feel that the situation was urgent. Nor that if she were to simply walk up to the intruder, which by chance she found herself doing anyway, that she might be in dire danger while sobering up.
But Fell was often bold. She simply said, "Evening." No 'good' or other prefrix to the greeting. If you can call it that. She had sat before she spoke fully aware that the other would probably knew that she was there the whole time. Her tone was smooth, bold, no true hint of Fells interesting adventure of the day.
ooc| No correcting my mistakes here. There are many and it's "one of those days."

this is what I came here for... Blood covered the fur around her muzzle, a remnant of her quick meal. She had believed that the dear alpha would have arrived while she was devouring the rabbit, but she had been mistaken. The female's scent only now met her nostrils, and she turned to look at him with a grin on her facade. The blood made her look all the more gruesome. It was, of course, the alpha, since the scent matched most of the other wolf scents in the area. So this was the alpha that she had come so far to meet? What a disappointment. She had expected someone much more fearsome - someone who would actually reprimand her for what she had done on her lands. What a disappointment. But she remanined her normal self, her eyes twinkling with mischief and hate, her face twisted into a demonic grin that would make pups quiver wth fear.
"Dearie me, it's the alpha," she said in an innocent voice. She stood up; laying on the ground was such an improper position for meeting an alpha. She needed to look regal. Her head was held as high as she could hold it and her tail was held high like a flag for all to see. She wasn't going to submit to this lowly creature until she was under her actual rule. She walked a little closer to the black wolf, her tail waving in a friendly wag that really wasn't friendly at all. She wasn't here to make friends. She was here to join a pack, one that would supply her with some form of excitement or another. She needed a good change of pace. Traveling was so last season. Packs were in now.
"Honestly, though, I was expecting....more," she said crtitically, sighing as if she had suffered a very large disappointment. "After I went to all of that trouble just to make you angry," she looked at her face, her eyes glinting. Her paws left imprints on the grass where she had been standing as she moved a little closer, her tail swaying high in the air above her and her head held proudly on her shoulders. "Tell me, dear, can this pack possibly make my life more interesting? I'm looking for blood." dearie, you're pathetic. [ooc] I tried to make that as unconfusing as possible. She isn't looking for a fight or anything, just a pack that does a lot of fighting, or will.

Fell stood soundly. Listening to all this wolf had to say. This wolf must have had something to prove to herself judging by her hapless sarcasm. The sun had now fully set, flora alight by lunar reflections only. And Fell was patient. Until the diva was finished with her address.
"Tell me, dear, can this pack possibly make my life more interesting? I'm looking for blood." The gypsy finished.
Fell almost matched the other wolfs tone of sarcasm. "You have it all over your face." She replied. Bluntly.
Fell's head carraige was not one of her concerns right now. Her tail hung loosely by her feet. Shaggy coat and bad posture, she was not one who could win a beauty pagent or win a princess's poise award. And she didn't care. But she did engage in intense eye contact.
"You amuse me." She set into a walk. "You try hard to gain attention. Put on a show even." Her head swiveled smoothy, gaze never leaving the eyes of the intruder, as she walked diagonally closer. "Am I worth that much?"
"HA!" Fell released a bark of laughter into the heavens. She was tired of this silly game. Stuff like this gets old fast.
"Vagabond. You want blood, what is stopping you from tearing my throat open?!" Her sinister voice now got loud. A flock of sleeping Red Breasted Robbins retreated into the sky with her words. "It is only obvious that I harbor a handicap." Fell's black nose flared with harded breaths. "But no matter..." Hackels raised, her voice quiets and trails off, her vision more interested of the dirt by her paws.
"I suggest this; Move on from here and join the struggling Kashi pack, I have no idea their intentions. Move on from this area altogether and find some other pet that will amuse you more than I." Her forehalf raised up slightly because she stood on a rock, she looked like a gargoyal ready to pounce. She quickly shoots her head up to lock eyes once more. "Because here I bide my time. I am collecting souls to add to a future death toll. I'm growing flesh in these woods for a blood bath to stain the battlegrounds for generations to come. And only time will dictate when this apocalypse will happen. As for something interesting; I am very skilled with patience. If that tells you anything."
Fell was curious on how her day will now end. She stood there, all positions exposed, next to a wolf who wanted nothing more than the taste of adrenaline on her teeth.
